The Transport and Technical Services Department has responsibility for waste management, street and beach cleaning, parks and gardens, main roads maintenance and management, footpath and land management, and waste management operations (including sewage disposal, drainage etc.). The Transport and Technical Services Department also has responsibility for on-Island transport policy.
