Draft Policing of Parks (Amendment) (Jersey) Regulations 200-
REPORT
In anticipation of the development of the Weighbridge area into a major public open space, the Waterfront Enterprise Board Limited have requested that the area should be included in the Policing of Parks (Jersey) Regulations 2005. This amendment will designate the Weighbridge area as a ‘Park’ and as such, enable proper management and policing of the area. The area designated as a ‘Park’ excludes the pavement and taxi rank which will remain under the Highways Authority.
Financial and manpower
implications
There are no financial or manpower implications for the States arising from this amendment.
Explanatory Note
These Regulations amend the Policing of Parks (Jersey) Regulations 2005.
Article 1 and the Schedule amend those Regulations so as to designate the Weighbridge area as a park.
Article 2 cites the title of these Regulations and provides that they come into force 7 days after they are made.

THE
STATES, in pursuance of the
Order in Council of 26th December 1851[1] and Article 92 of the Road Traffic (Jersey)
Law 1956[2], have made the following Regulations –
1 Amendment of the Policing of Parks (Jersey) Regulations 2005
In Part 1 of the Schedule to the Policing of Parks (Jersey) Regulations 2005[3] for the plan showing the park “Liberation Square” there shall be substituted the plan in the Schedule to these Regulations.
These Regulations may be cited as the Policing of Parks (Amendment) (Jersey) Regulations 200- and come into force 7 days after they are made.
