Strategic Plan: progress against initiatives as at 31st December 2007

STRATEGIC PLAN: PROGRESS AGAINST INITIATIVES AS AT 31ST DECEMBER 2007

I am pleased to present to the States the fourth 6-monthly update which records progress against the initiatives set out in the Strategic Plan initiatives as at December 2007.

Progress remains steady. The narrative against each of the entries provides Members with an update on the current position.

Analysis of the status of each ongoing initiative shows that –

● 55 (23%) have been completed

● 128 (54%) are on track

● 32 (13%) are slightly behind schedule

● 22 (9%) have not met the deadline date set out in the Strategic Plan, or are seriously off track. This is inevitable given the nature and timescale of the Strategic Plan. Full explanations are given for the delays, many of which are due to initiatives being incorporated into wider policy development, or to policy changes during the period.

As with previous updates, the report is arranged by Minister.
